The path of fostering can be long and filled with challenges, but the positives far outweigh the negatives. The rewards are immense, and this journey has greatly enhanced our well-being. Knowing I have made an impact, however small, brings me joy. I recognise that while I have taught the children valuable lessons, those children have also imparted wisdom and joy to both myself and my daughter Megan, ultimately bringing us all closer as a family.
We wholeheartedly recommend fostering through our local authority, Foster Wales Flintshire. We believe the support we’ve received from our social worker, Catrin, has been unparalleled. We feel strongly that it’s crucial for children to remain close to their local area, as a sense of community is vital for their sense of belonging.
Fostering has been a journey of love, learning, and lasting memories for us, and we hope to inspire others to take this rewarding step.
